Reweaving Loose Threads through Storytelling and Placemaking
June 10, 2017 | 5:00 to 9:00 p.m. | Taborspace
5441 SE Belmont St., Portland OR 97215
Join the City Repair Project in welcoming our partner, the Village Coalition (VC), for an interactive evening of listening, learning, and being led by community members experiencing houselessness on the streets of Portland. Members of the VC Speakers Bureau will take you on their journeys from housing vulnerability, through the uncertainty of displacement, and into the realities of living outside and unsheltered in Portland. As experts of their lived experiences, the speakers will share their observations about the effects of houselessness on their connections to place and people, and what those effects mean for community in the future.
This is an Oregon Humanities grant-funded event.
No one turned away for lack of funds and a $10-$20 sliding scale optional donation is suggested to help cover costs
