March 15, 2022 | 7:00 - 8:30 p.m. Pacific | Virtual Event

Online, statewide & beyond

Please join us on Tuesday, March 15, at 7 p.m., for a 90-minute discussion (via Zoom) of Robin Wall Kimmerer's essay, "Speaking of Nature." This piece invites readers to reflect on how we speak about our more-than-human relations and what this says about our connections with them. Coinciding with Oregon Humanities' Consider This conversation with Kimmerer, this discussion will allow participants to connect with each other over some of the themes of her work.

The discussion will be facilitated by Oregon Humanities program manager Rozzell Medina. Rozzell is a multicultural artist, activist, and educator of Indigenous, Latino, and European descent. Much of his work focuses on ecological and cultural learning rooted in deepening our connection with the earth, with each other, and with our interconnected visions of what our lives and the world can become.
