Guest Instructors for Online Course on Migration

In summer and fall of 2025, Oregon Humanities will offer an online course on migration, examining phenomena related to migration in both human socieities and the broader natural world. Two courses will be offered, one in Spanish and one in English.

We are looking for guest instructors to lead sessions in one or both of these courses. Spanish fluency is a plus but not required. Guest instructors will share their expertise in areas related to migration with participants.

Some of the themes the course will cover include:

  • Migration as a natural phenomenon
  • Migration routes of wildlife, in Oregon and globally
  • Historical migrations in human societies, such as trade routes (the Silk Road, spice trade routes, etc.) and population movements
  • Current migration patterns of human populations

If you are interested in joining us as a guest instructor, please write to Juliana Posada at juliana@oregonhumanities.org.
