Where Will Conversation Take Us?

Lately, things have been rocky here in Oregon. Divisions show up not only across the state, but within communities and even at home. In this climate, it can feel diffcult to address the many challenges we face.

With your support, Oregon Humanities is offering a way forward that prioritizes cooperation over partisanship and problem-solving over division.

For more than fifty years, we’ve been forging a path that brings Oregonians together to talk and listen across divides. Neighbors and friends who attend facilitation training come home with tools to lead conversations about challenging topics. Oregonians who exchange letters through Dear Stranger connect with people from different corners of the state to share experiences and beliefs. In rural towns and urban neighborhoods, Conversation Project programs, Community Storytelling Fellowships, and Public Program Grants from Oregon Humanities build the conditions and capacity for meaningful exchange.

Join us on this path of connection, understanding, and belonging. Make a tax-deductible gift of any amount to Oregon Humanities by December 31.
