Humanity in Perspective (HIP) is a free college course for adults living on low incomes. Students explore their experiences and relationships to ideas about power, justice, knowledge, identity, and community in an engaging and supportive environment. Tuition, books, and bus tickets are provided free, and a limited number of childcare stipends are available for students with children. Students receive six transferable credits from Bard College for completing the course. HIP is offered in partnership by Oregon Humanities and the Rosewood Initiative and meets two evenings each week from September to May at The Rosewood Initiative on SE Stark and 162nd Ave.

• Thursday, May 30 from 6–7p.m.
• Tuesday, August 6 from 6–7 p.m.
• Friday, August 2 from 5–10p.m. during Rosewood Night Out

There will be snacks at the sessions and children are welcome.
