How to Participate

In the spring of 2019 we will gather people who live in and around the Columbia River Gorge, from Corbett to The Dalles.

This group will be composed of approximately twenty-five people who represent a cross section of different Oregon communities and bring various experiences, backgrounds, beliefs, and perspectives to the conversations. Participants don’t need to have special qualifications but should be committed to attending all four gatherings and have a demonstrated interest in working toward stronger communities.

Over four sessions, selected participants will do the following:

  • Participate in reflective discussions about topics that affect their communities
  • Connect with other community members with a variety of skills, experiences, and community networks
  • Learn how to lead conversations about issues and ideas across differences, beliefs, and backgrounds
  • Be eligible to receive $400 for their participation in four half-day sessions

Gatherings will take place on Sundays April 7, April 28, May 19, and  June 9. Each three-hour session will be from 1:30 p.m. until 4:30 p.m. These sessions will take place at The Dalles Arts Center and the Rockford Grange in Hood River.

Applications are now closed.
