Creative Markets for Traditional Products is part of Wallowa County in Transition: New Stories from the Old West, co-sponsored by Wallowa Land Trust, Wallowa Resources, and Fishtrap with support from the Hurricane Creek Grange Hall. This discussion focuses on how local business people, especially farmers and ranchers, have found new markets in response to wider ecological, economic, and social changes. Oregon Historical Society is hosting 2012 National History Day on the theme “Revolution, Reaction, Reform in History.” The year long program includes a history competition that begins at the local level and culminates in a national contest at the University of Maryland in June.
